Born in 1972 in St Etienne, it was then in the heart of the Ardèche mountains that Nicolas Tempé grew up and still lives today.
Pushed by his father, he followed very technical higher education... but this artist at heart has always explored different creative paths.
The greatest pastry chefs in the world, such as Christophe MICHALAK, Pierre HERME, and even the ELYSEE have ordered custom-made food molds from him.
The famous ALLERGAN and BAYER laboratories entrusted it with the design of devices for medical research.
He made stage sets for Chantal GOYA, Marc JOLLIVET, Francois ROLLIN and Patrice LECONTE.
His careful work has also delighted many architects, decorators, designers and artists.
So, whether it’s museum decors, amusement parks – including DISNEYLAND, or a 6m shark at MARINELAND, you’ve certainly already admired the fruit of his labor.
But after more than 25 years in the shadows, Nicolas TEMPE felt the need to give free rein to his imagination by finally creating his own works of art.
Since 98, this visual artist – self-taught with golden fingers – has had the time to refine his techniques and his knowledge of composite materials. In his immense Ardéchois workshop, Nicolas can create without limits.
– “When I started to imagine my first resin sculptures, I wanted to alert people to the importance of animals. I live in the countryside and over the years I have unfortunately seen hedgehogs and glowworms disappear. We often talk about the 6th mass extinction without realizing that we are also affected: When there are no more bees to pollinate our vegetable garden, we will no longer have tomatoes on our plate!
Humans and animals are linked, just like in my sculptures…”
Naturally joking and positive, Nicolas nevertheless refuses pessimism.
– “I want to transmit good vibes. My ZANIMOS are quirky and full of humor. I dress them in sparkling Bubbles in the colors of the 7 chakras, for an effervescence of happiness. What a pleasure to see the sparkles in my clients’ eyes! »
